WORKING THEORY

1. Monitor the fault of SPD occur:

Supervise the signal of remote communication port of the SPD, via itself data acquisition system, continuously collect he signals of remote communication port, when the signal is switched off, the acquisition system will send the alarming within ns..

2. Monitor the earthing of air switch (circuit breaker) / SPD:

Supervise the position status of air switch, when the switch is opened, the data acquisition system will produce the alarming within ns, or if SPD is earthed, it will produce the alarming.

3. Detect the times of lightning impulse:

Consists of built-in current inductive element, signal processing circuit , and electromagnetic counter, the inductive element closed with the earthing wire of SPD, after the current signal is limited, rectified and filtered, then drive the electromagnetic counter to count on the times of lightning impulse.
